City Attorney
The Office of the City Attorney provides principal legal counsel to City officials and staff. The City Attorney, individually and through assistants and office personnel, performs the following functions:
 Assists, meets with and provides legal counsel to the City Commission, the City Manager and City
departments on the legal aspects of City business
Reviews and drafts contracts, leases, ordinances and resolutions
Handles real estate transactions
Renders ethics opinions
Interprets laws and ordinances
Prosecutes municipal code violations
Represents the City in civil and small claims matters

The Office of the City Attorney is on the third floor of City Hall, which is at the southeast corner of West Oakland Park Boulevard and Josh Lee Boulevard (just east of Hiatus Road). This office can be located using our City Facilities map.
