Hazardous Waste
Household hazardous materials are not collected by the City, but may be disposed of free of charge by Sunrise residents at Broward County facilities. These hazardous materials include: oil-based/latex-based paints, used oil, nickel-cadmium/lead-acid batteries, used tires, paint thinners, paint strippers, solvents, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, oven and drain cleaners, spot removers, furniture polish, mercury, and automotive fluids.
