Quick-Service Permits

In an effort to provide prompt and courteous customer service, the City of Sunrise Building Department is now accepting "stand alone" trade permits by fax. If you are a City-registered contractorpdf Link , the Building Department can process your faxed permit application - usually within two working days.

To qualify as a stand alone trade permit, no plans are required to be submitted for approval and there is no primary permit on file.

Note: All completed and notarized permit documents must be typed or legibly printed. Incomplete or illegible applications will not be processed.

Reminder: A Notice of Commencement is required for Structural, Electrical and Plumbing permits where the job costs are greater than $2,500 - as well as Mechanical permits where the job costs are greater than $7,500.

Electrical Permit

Mechanical Permit

Plumbing Permit
Water Heaters, Water Services, Backflow Installation & Re-Certification
1. Complete the Plumbing Permit Applicationpdf Link

3. Fax all forms (*) to the Building Department at (954) 572-2357

Once the permit application is received and processed, a Permit Specialist will contact you with the permit cost. The permit card and receipt will be issued at time of payment at the Building Department.
* Original signed and notarized forms must be submitted at time of permit pickup.
