Bids (IFBs), Proposals (RFPs) & Qualifications (RFQs)
In addition to Requests for Quotation - which can be downloaded from this site - the City of Sunrise also issues Invitations for Bid (IFBs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). However, due to the length and complexity of these documents, they are not available online. For your convenience, brief overviews are shown in the Active Requests section, below.
To obtain an IFB, RFP or RFQ package, please call the Purchasing Division at (954) 572-2274. Requests for construction project contract documents, specifications and drawings will be referred to the Architect/Engineer of record and may be purchased directly from them.
From time to time, the City must issue Addenda to IFBs, RFPs or RFQs. It is the responsibility of the respondent to verify if any Addenda have been issued by contacting the Purchasing Division at (954) 572-2274 before the Opening Date and Time.

Roarke Hall High Tile Roof Replacement

Qualification Requirement: The successful Contractor shall currently have a valid Roofing Contractor's license in the State of Florida that enables them to procure all required permits, complete the Work as specified herein and required by law, and shall have successfully completed at least three (3) tile roofing projects of similar type, size and complexity in the last five (5) years. The successful Contractor shall have been in business under their present name for at least three (3) years.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference: July 22nd, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Roarke Hall, 1720 NW 60th Avenue, Sunrise, FL 33313. Contractors must bring any sub-contractors that need to see the roof to this Pre-Bid Conference, because access to the roof is limited to this visit.
Budget: Budget will be given at pre-bid conference.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference: Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sunrise City Hall Commission Chambers, 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351. Any bid from a bidder not attending the conference may be rejected at the sole discretion of the city. Following the pre-bid conference, site visits to the two locations will be made. Contractors must bring any sub-contractors that need to see the work sites to this pre-bid conference, because access to the sites is limited to this visit.

Once you have completed your IFB, RFP or RFQ, you may return it via regular mail, express mail or hand delivery to:

The IFB/RFP/RFQ number must be clearly referenced on the front of your submittal. Any submittal received after its specified Opening Date and Time will be refused.
Online Surplus Sale
The City of Sunrise, Florida intends to sell City surplus tangible property to the general public via the Internet. Tangible surplus property will be sold to the highest bidder through an Internet auction process utilizing the services of renebates.com. The City will be posting a new auction closing on January 20, 2010.
All surplus property sold by the City is sold As Is, with no additional warranty provided. This notification satisfies the requirements of Florida Statute 274.06.
