The Good Neighbor Awards Program is the City's way of thanking the residents who are committed to improving the quality of life in our community. To submit a nomination, a Good Neighbor Awards Entry Form must be completed along with a description of no more than 300 words describing what the nominee has done that makes them a candidate for the Good Neighbor Award. A copy of the nomination form is available for download here. Eligible nominations for the 2007 calendar year must be submitted to the City no later than December 31, 2007. Finalists will be selected from the pool of nominated candidates. These winners will receive their award at a special ceremony. Nominees are sought in two divisions - adult and youth - and must meet the following criteria:
- They must be a resident of the City of Sunrise;
- They must have made significant contributions to their neighborhoods or to Sunrise in 2007;
- Their actions must go beyond the scope of citizen responsibilities;
- They must not be employed by the City of Sunrise.
