Celebrate green living at our fun, family-friendly Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sawgrass Sanctuary Park (237 North New River Circle, Sunrise 33326).
Admission is FREE, and the first 1,500 people through the gates will receive a reusable shopping tote and a BPA-free water bottle. The bottles can be refilled throughout the day at the City's complimentary water station.
The City's annual Earth Day celebration features a Kids' Korner with children's activities, bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts and more; handcrafted goods; fantastic food and beverage vendors; and non-profit exhibitors and education sessions to help you green your routine.
We'll kick off the festival with an 11:15 a.m. Tree Planting Ceremony in observance of Arbor Day. Afterwards, enjoy live music:
11:30 a.m. - BUSHWOOD. High-energy funk and chill reggae.
1:00 p.m. - County Line Road. Country music with a rock edge.
2:30 p.m. - SunGhosts. Sun-drenched garage rock.
The Earth Day Festival is sponsored by the City of Sunrise Utilities Department, All Service Refuse, and Baptist Health Urgent Care-Sawgrass, and presented in partnership with The Shark 104.3 FM. No coolers, glass bottles, pets or bicycles will be allowed in the park during the Festival. However, dedicated bicycle parking will be available.
