Group photo of Sunrise's 2015 scholarship winners with their families and the City CommissionIn an effort to recognize the accomplishments of our residents and provide financial assistance to graduating high school students, the City of Sunrise has created the Outstanding Citizenship Scholarship Program. This program is open to graduating high school seniors who are residents of the City of Sunrise and meet the program’s income guidelines.

Through the Outstanding Citizenship Scholarship Program, the City of Sunrise makes available two, two-year scholarships (60 credit hours) for graduating high school seniors to attend most Florida colleges. All students - whether of average or high-achieving status - are encouraged to apply for these scholarships. 

If you would like to be considered for the 2019 Outstanding Citizenship Scholarship please complete and submit an application, available for download on the Broward Education Foundation website. Applications are also available through high school BRACE advisors.

The application deadline is Monday, April 1, 2019.

Completed applications may be mailed or returned in person to the City of Sunrise Leisure Services Department, 10610 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351. Call (954) 747-4600 for more information.
