Department Overview
The Personnel Department coordinates the various activities within the City of Sunrise pertaining to human resources. As part of our goal to be the area's preeminent public employer, the Personnel Department is responsible for attracting and retaining the best and brightest individuals to staff City operations.
The department recruits and screens applicants, maintains employees' records, manages employee benefit programs, prepares job specifications, and negotiates collective bargaining agreements. Additionally, it administers in-service training and coordinates the Citizen Volunteer Corps program.
