The City of Sunrise encourages local businesses, neighbors and organizations to
Adopt-A-Street to enhance the appearance of our community and beautify our roadways.
In return for “adopting” a half-mile or longer segment of a street and agreeing to pick up litter at least four times per year over a two-year period, a sign will be installed to provide your group with recognition for your commitment to stewardship.
In addition to providing meaningful team-building activities for your organization, adopting a street has multiple social, environmental, and economic benefits because it:
- Helps keep our streets and waterways safer and cleaner
- Helps prevent storm water pollution and keep drains unclogged
- Promotes stewardship of our community and environment
- Creates awareness for litter prevention
- Supports property values
If you are interested in participating in the Adopt-A-Street program, or for more information, please visit the
Broward County Adopt-a-Street website, or call (954) 765-4999 or email
