Lobbyist Registration Information


Overview
In December 2007, the City of Sunrise adopted Ordinance 486 - designed to provide a comprehensive means of monitoring lobbyists' activities and expenditures. Ordinance 486 requires lobbyists to register annually each fiscal year with the City Clerk and to identify the principal for whom he or she lobbies. Lobbyists are also required to file annual expense reports. The City Clerk maintains a lobbyist registration log, which is updated quarterly and readily available for public review. Additionally, Ordinance 486 prohibits lobbying activity in connection with the City's procurement process.
