Join the City of Sunrise Good and Green Team for a fun-filled morning of outdoor exploration at SAC Park! The Sunrise BioBlitz Nature Bingo Adventure is a FREE, family-friendly event that invites residents to discover the incredible biodiversity found in one of our beautiful parks.
Using a BioBlitz Bingo card as your guide, you'll explore the park while searching for pollinators, birds, butterflies, trees, wildflowers, insects, and other signs of nature. Along the way, stop by interactive learning stations to discover how local plants and wildlife support a healthy environment and learn simple ways you can make a difference at home.
Whether you're a seasoned nature enthusiast or simply looking for a fun family activity, the BioBlitz is a great opportunity to experience Sunrise's parks from a new perspective.
- 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM Pick up your BioBlitz Bingo Card at the SAC Meeting Room (the smaller building near the playground), complete any five in a row to get a prize, while supplies last!
- 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Build A Bug Station at SAC Meeting Room Patio
- 12:30 PM Ladybug Release just outside the SAC Meeting Room
What to Bring
This is an outdoor walking event. Please come prepared by wearing:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Lightweight, weather-appropriate clothing
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- A reusable water bottle
- To participate in some activities, at least one person in each group should bring a smartphone. A smartphone can be used to access digital clues and help identify plants and wildlife throughout the event.
