Hours: Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Splash pad shuts down one hour before park closes.

Overview: At nearly 29 acres, Welleby Park is one of the largest parks in the City - and one of its most popular. The dog-friendly park offers year-round recreational opportunities for Sunrise residents, and is the site of several special events throughout the year.

Thanks to a recent expansion and renovation  project, Welleby park has these amenities and more:

  • Pawgrass at Welleby Park—Sunrise’s first municipal dog park
  • Eleven picnic pavilions
  • A new playground with a rubberized safety surface
  • A nature-themed splash pad
  • A kid-sized safety town play/learn area* featuring mini buildings modeled after city facilities
  • A larger meeting room, plus restroom facilities
  • A  looped, Flexi-pave walking path totaling 1.23 miles
  • Supplemental parking, and lighting and security enhancements
