Stunning Sunrise Transformation Award Application

The Stunning Sunrise Transformation Award recognizes owner-occupied single-family homes and townhomes that have undergone exterior remodeling and/or landscaping improvements over the past three years that comply with City standards, demonstrating exceptional care and community pride. The improvements do not need to be expensive or elaborate; however, they substantially improve or enhance the overall property.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Property must be a single-family home or townhouse with a homestead exemption
  • Property is within the City limits of Sunrise
  • Property improvements were made by the homeowner/representative (not a prior owner)
  • Majority of transformation was done in the past 12 months
  • Dated before and after pictures must be provided with the application
  • Property is not currently for sale

Winning Criteria:

  • Neat, clean and well-maintained exterior façade, including paint and roof
  • Landscaping in harmony and balanced with property
  • Well maintained lawn, swale, sidewalk and driveway
  • The dated before and after pictures demonstrate a significant aesthetic improvement to the property as viewed from the street
  • NatureScape (wildlife habitat) and/or Florida-Friendly Landscape Certified Yard

Please attach up to four (4) photos that showcase the property’s appearance BEFORE and AFTER the transformation. At least two (2) of these photos must be street-view images that show the entire home and highlight the significant improvements that were made to its appearance.  Each digital photo should be no larger than 5 MB.
