The Building Division is the City agency that enforces the Florida Building Code. The Division's responsibilities include:
- Reviewing all plans for new and miscellaneous construction, including improvements and additions;
- Inspecting all aspects of all construction at progressive stages;
- Collecting permit fees and issuing permits for all categories associated with building; and
- Issuing Certificates of Occupancy
PROFESSIONAL DAY & WALK-THROUGH PERMITTING
Each Wednesday between 8:00a.m. and noon is designated as "Professional Day." During this time, Building Plans Examiners are available to answer questions and review applications on a walk-in basis for all Building permit applicants and design professionals. No appointments are necessary, but appointments may be made for another time in the week.
An application is not considered received and the review will not begin until application fee(s) is paid, as applicable.
