The Engineering Division is comprised of a diversified professional and technical staff who are responsible for design review, permitting, and inspection of all public and private infrastructure elements within the City, as well as all water and wastewater (sewer) infrastructure within the City's utility service area. Landscaping is a component of the Engineering Division which is responsible for the design review, permitting, and inspection of all landscaping and irrigation within the City. In addition to the procedurally structured oversight and activities noted above, the Engineering Division staff responds to numerous daily inquires from the general public, homeowner associations, and the development community regarding interpretation and implementation of City Code and engineering standards and policies.
