Restaurants. Few other communities in South Florida offer corporate citizens the number of dining options found in Sunrise. More importantly, many Sunrise-area restaurants provide a business-appropriate atmosphere. Full service dining options include Villagio, La Dona Seafood and Grill, and Grand Lux Café. Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, Texas de Brazil, Yardhouse, Rainforest Café, and Seasons 52. Sunrise is also home to numerous restaurants offering authentic international cuisine. Sunrise Pita and Grill, 3 Mien Vietnamese Kitchen, Kababi Café, and Chef Rose Jamaican Cuisine are a handful of the unique international cuisine you’ll find in our community.
Hotels. Sunrise-area hotels and resorts offer corporations and visitors more than 3,000 hotel rooms and 250,000 square feet of meeting space. There are 13 hotels either within or nearby the City, including the luxurious DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sunrise - Sawgrass Mills and the sleek, modern AC Hotel by Marriott Sawgrass Mills.

Entertainment. Sunrise is the site of the Amerant Bank Arena, a 20,000-seat, $225 million multi-purpose venue adjacent to the Sawgrass Expressway. This arena is the home of the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers and the setting for major concert performances and entertainment events.
In addition to the Arena, the City operates the Sunrise Civic Center complex, which features an intimate, 300-seat theatre, an amphitheatre and an art gallery that provides quality, affordable entertainment.
Shopping: Sunrise is synonymous with great retail, thanks in large part to the Sawgrass Mills mall. This 2.7-million-square-foot shopping destination is an internationally renowned shopping and dining destination, featuring an unsurpassed collection of luxury outlets, more than 350 total stores, and welcomes over 25 million visitors per year. The City's Shop Sunrise program also offers residents and visitors unique discounts and deals with more than 100 local businesses.
Recreation: The City of Sunrise has a variety of top-class parks with more than 250 acres of municipal green space. Recently, the City has been improving its parks and recreational facilities with up to $80 million in investments to provide superior amenities and excellent recreational experiences for the local community.
Education. Public and private schools in the City of Sunrise provide excellent education opportunities for children. Sunrise is located near top-rated institutions of higher learning, including Nova Southeastern University, Florida Atlantic University, and Broward College. In addition, the campuses of Florida International University, the University of Miami, and St. Thomas University are an easy commute.
Housing. Sunrise offers a broad range of housing options, from private, gated golf course communities to rental properties. Nearby cities, including Weston, Plantation and Coral Springs, also contribute to the area's attractive housing market.

Transportation. Sunrise offers a free, innovative, on-demand transportation service within the City's Business and Entertainment District. The Sunrise Freebee service saw more than 45,000 riders in its first year of operations and continues to grow. The program utilizes electric vehicles driven by Sunrise "ambassadors" to take workers, residents, and visitors to any destination in the district. This service supports local businesses by bringing people to their door at no cost, and it gives businesses an opportunity to market their services via the Freebee app at no charge.
