We look forward to welcoming you back to our soon-to-reopen aquatics facilities! We’ve increased our cleaning protocols and are implementing new procedures to help keep you safe when you return.

At this time, our reopening plans include:

  • Civic Center Aquatics Complex. Beginning Monday, June 8, the lap pool, family pool, and kiddie pool will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The waterslide and the concession stand will remain closed.
  • Village Beach Club. Beginning Saturday, June 13, the pool will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

It's important to note: 

  • Admission will be available for specific blocks of time (sessions), so that staff can conduct additional cleaning between groups.
  • Only credit card payments will be accepted; no cash.
  • Masks will be required at all times while in our facilities, except when swimming.
  • Guests must follow social distancing guidelines by staying at least 6 feet away from those not in their household group.
  • Swimmers should come prepared with bottled water.

Civic Center Aquatics Complex

10610 West Oakland Park Boulevard

Reopening date: Monday, June 8
Pool Hours: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 
Resident admission: $1 per child (17 and under); $1.25 per adult - proof of residency required

Tickets must be purchased at the Theatre Box Office in the Civic Center rotunda. Credit cards only; no cash. All guests will enter the Aquatic Complex through the rotunda.

Lap Pool Operations:

The lap pool will operate by lane reservations only as follows:
  • Lane reservations will be available to City of Sunrise residents and members only
  • Lanes must be reserved in advance by calling (954) 747-4600, Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Reservations for the week of June 8 will be accepted beginning Thursday, June 4. Walk-ups will be accommodated only if lane space is available.
  • Lanes will be reserved in 1 hour increments.  Swimmers must be out of the pool after 50 minutes and off the deck in 10 minutes before the end of their time slot.  8 lanes will be available.
  • We will reserve a lane for up to 15 minutes after the hour. A reservation will be lost after 15 minutes. If a patron is late and the lane is not taken, the patron may only swim until the end of the original reservation.
  • Lane assignments will be given to swimmers when they arrive and pay at the Box Office.
  • Swimmers will wait for their swim time on the pool party deck (the assigned waiting area for the lap pool).
  • The lead lifeguard will communicate when swimmers will be permitted on deck.
  • Only one person per lane.  Swimmers must maintain social distancing while in the water.
  • Only swimmers allowed on deck. Loitering will not be allowed.
  • Swimmers should come prepared with bottled water.
  • Masks will be required at all times while in the facility, except when swimming.
  • Social distancing of at least six (6) feet must be practiced at all times.
  • Locker rooms will be available for restroom use only. (No more than two people at a time.)
  • All swimmers must use deck shower before entering the pool.
  • In the event of inclement weather, patrons will be guided out of the facility to the rotunda area.

Family Pool Operations:

  • The family pool will be available to City of Sunrise residents and members only.
  • The family pool will be restricted to 25 people at all times.
  • The family pool will operate in sessions with 15 minutes between sessions. Sessions can be purchased at the Box Office Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - but no more than 30 minutes prior to the start of your desired session. All swimmers must check-in at the Box Office.
  • Sessions will run weekdays from 10:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m., 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m., 2:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. 
  • Swimmers for the family pool may wait for their designated session in the Theater courtyard.
  • Groups will be restricted to no more than ten (10) people.
  • Swimmers will only be able to purchase one session per day.
  • Swimmers should come prepared with bottled water.
  • Masks will be required at all times while in the facility, except when swimming.
  • Social distancing of at least six (6) feet must be practiced at all times.
  • Locker rooms will be available for restroom use only. (No more than two people at a time.)
  • All swimmers must use deck shower before entering the pool.
  • The waterslide will remain closed.
  • In the event of inclement weather, patrons will be guided out of the facility to the rotunda area.

 

Village Beach Club

Reopening date: Saturday, June 13
Pool Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
Resident admission: FREE - proof of residency required

Village Beach Club Operations:

  • The Village Beach Club pool will be available to City of Sunrise residents only.
  • The pool will be restricted to 15 people at all times.
  • The pool will operate in sessions with 15 minutes between sessions.
  • Sessions will run on weekends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m., 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
  • Swimmers must wait in their cars or outside of the building for their designated session.
  • Groups will be restricted to no more than ten (10) people.  
  • Swimmers will only be able to swim for one (1) session per day.
  • Swimmers should come prepared with bottled water.
  • Masks will be required at all times while in the facility, except when swimming.
  • Social distancing of at least six (6) feet must be practiced at all times.
  • All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
  • In the event of inclement weather, patrons will immediately exit the facility.
