Overview
Sunrise Tennis Club celebrated its grand opening in February 2001 - earning its place as the premier public tennis facility in South Florida. The Tennis Club offers 10 Hydrocourt clay courts, four asphalt-based cushioned courts, and one asphalt-based cushioned tournament court, as well as lighted, sheltered spectator areas, and restrooms. The facility also features a clubhouse with a pro shop, players' lounge and locker rooms.
Sunrise Tennis Club has won numerous accolades, including the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) 2001 "Outstanding Facility" award, and Tennis Industry magazine's 2001 "Court of the Year" award. In 1999, while being built, the Tennis Club was recognized by both the USTA and the United States Tennis Court and Track Builders Association as an example of excellence in the design and construction of a tennis facility.
