Originally opened in 1998, the $27 million Sunrise Civic Center is home to an impressive assortment of facilities and activities including an athletic club, aquatics complex, art gallery, theatre, outdoor amphitheater, and grand ballrooms. The latest expansion—completed in July 2020—improves the amenity-rich Sunrise Civic Center to more than 100,000 square feet of fun and fitness for Sunrise residents. Funded by park bonds that Sunrise residents voted for in 2014, these new features help to modernize the facility and improve the way that Sunrise lives, works, and plays.
