Launched in 2020, the Sunrise Clean Team is more than just a litter collection program; it’s a city-wide mission to keep our streets sparkling and our community thriving.

Our dedicated crews are on the move seven days a week, maintaining everything from bike lanes and bus shelters to major rights-of-way. By removing litter, debris, animal carcasses and abandoned shopping carts, we aren't just cleaning up: we’re protecting our local environment, boosting property values, and ensuring Sunrise remains a premier destination for businesses and families alike.

We’ve leveled up our service: our street sweeping operations are now performed entirely in-house. By bringing this service directly under City management, we can ensure a higher standard of care and quicker responses in every neighborhood.

A beautiful city starts with you! Volunteer energy is the heartbeat of our success. To inspire others to Team Up to Clean Up, the Sunrise Clean Team participates in community clean-up events, partners with the Adopt-A-Street program, and attends civic association meetings and various City events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for our vibrant pickup trucks and street sweepers featuring our program mascots: Captain Sunrise, Daybreak, and Sunny!
