Sunrise is celebrating the grand opening of two new neighborhood passive parks, Oak Hammock Park and Cypress Preserve Park. Join us for a first look at these unique and eco-friendly facilities. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony (10:15 a.m.), light refreshments and giveaways. And, since the openings correspond with Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play – an afternoon to switch off the television and go outside – Dora the Explorer will be available for photo opportunities.
Oak Hammock Park

Amenities include a playground, a chess patio, three pavilions, a walking/biking path, a boardwalk surrounding
a bird habitat, and restroom facilities.
