The City of Sunrise offers 'single-stream' all-in-one bin recycling. At home, you can mix Paper, Cardboard, Metal, Plastic & Glass in your recycling bin.

Recycling at Home: Acceptable Items for your Blue Bin
Please make sure your items are empty, clean and dry.  Remove caps. 

Aluminum/Steel Cans (non-aerosol): soda & food cans

Glass Containers: beverage bottles, jars (clear, green and brown glass only) 

Mixed Paper: junk mail, newspapers, magazines, office paper, soft covered books, etc.

Card Board: boxes, cereal cartons, etc.

Plastic Containers: soda, juice & water bottles, milk, juice, detergent & shampoo bottles, plastic food containers (no styrofoam).

You can always safely dispose of over the counter and prescription drugs at the Public Safety Complex next to City Hall! *Paper shredding is also available during hazardous waste collection events at City Hall.
